Jenna Prevet, of Nesconset, has been named 2023 Young Female Referee of the Year by the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association. Prevet, who graduated from Smithtown East High School in 2022, is working toward a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in political science at Sweet Briar College in Virginia, where she plays on the college’s field hockey team. She became an official with the Long Island Soccer Referee Association in 2018 and is one of three Prevet sisters who are refereeing on Long Island.
