ROSIE AND PERCY A. JONES formerly of Hempstead, now of Raleigh, N. C., celebrated Feb. 23. Rosie's sister Fannie recalls when Percy came to their home and asked their dad if he could do all of Rosie's chores. He did them and then went home to do his own. He wanted to prove how much he cared for Rosie and that he was a hard worker. Percy served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War. Rosie is a homemaker. They have four children, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

JANE AND JERRY SCHNEIT formerly of Manhasset and now residing in Roslyn, were wed March 1, 1941. They celebrated with family on March 12 at Steve's Piccola Bussola in Syosset. Jerry is retired president of Halcolite Co., a manufacturer of lighting fixtures. They met at Abraham Lincoln High Sschool in Brooklyn. Jerry enjoys going to the Jewish community center, and Jane enjoys cooking, baking, knitting and taking care of Jerry. They have three children, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

ANNETTE AND BERNARD MCMAHON of Bethpage were wed Feb. 22, 1951 -- it was the Washington's birthday holiday and Bernie's birthday to boot. They have five children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

LISA AND NEAL GALLAGHER of Sound Beach celebrated on Feb. 14. A trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, was a gift from their children and spouses. They met in the Bronx in 1970. Neal has been a bakery foreman at Entenmann's for 34 years, having started three weeks after he completed his service in the U.S. Marine Corps. Lisa is a recently retired nurse. They have six children and just welcomed their first granddaughter.

AUDREY AND GUY DERTINGER of Melville were wed Feb. 14, 1981. They celebrated with a romantic three-day hotel getaway for Valentine's Day. Guy works for USA Industries in Bay Shore. Audrey is a homemaker who loves to spend time with their three grandchildren. They have three children.
