60thJEAN AND WALTER TOMITZ of Garden City were wed on Oct. 20, 1951, at Resurrection Ascension R.C. Church in Rego Park. They celebrated with a family getaway to Gurney's Inn in Montauk over Thanksgiving weekend. Walter is a retired State Farm insurance agent, having owned an agency in West Hempstead for more than 41 years. They have four children and nine grandchildren.

59thSHIRLEY AND MILTON KLEIN, residents of East Meadow for 55 years, were wed Nov. 9, 1952. They celebrated at a dinner with their two daughters. Milton served as a radarman in the Navy amphibious forces in the South Pacific during World War II. He retired from the New York Police Department as an auto mechanic body shop supervisor. Shirley worked for Hamilton Radio in Manhattan during the war and later for the Port Authority and Geico. They have two grandchildren.

50thTRUDY AND ED BLOHM of Lynbrook celebrated Oct. 22 with a dinner party at the Rockville Links Country Club in Rockville Centre attended by more than 100 guests, including some family from Germany. They enjoy traveling, golf and are both involved with their church, Grace Lutheran in Malverne. They have three children and five grandchildren.

50thBARBARA AND BOB FARRELL of Huntington were wed Nov. 18, 1961, at St. Hugh of Lincoln Church in Huntington Station. They celebrated on a river cruise from Amsterdam to Vienna. They renewed vows at a Mass offered by Bishop William Murphy and were honored at a surprise family luncheon at Jonathan's Ristorante in Huntington. Barbara is a retired teacher from the South Huntington school district. Bob is a retired subcontracts-procurement manager at Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage. They have three children and four grandchildren.

40thMICHELE AND JOE GOONAN of East Yaphank celebrated Nov. 24 with a family weekend to Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos. The couple are both retired teachers. Michele retired from Longwood school district. Joe retired from Half Hollow Hills school district. They have two children and three grandchildren.

25thKAREN AND TOM HELINSKI were wed Nov. 15, 1986, at Our Lady of Ostrabrama in Cutchogue. They celebrated with a party at Wharf House in Southoldand a trip to Disney World. Tom is employed by Suffolk County. Karen is a self-employed CPA. They have one daughter.
