Nassau and Suffolk anniversaries

65th

SADIE AND RALPH PANETTA of Locust Valley celebrated Feb. 18. Ralph is a World War II veteran who served in the 13th U.S. Air Force in the Philippines. He is retired from Grumman Corp. and the Nassau Country Club. Sadie is retired from the Locust Valley School District and is a member of the Glen Cove Senior Club. They have three married sons, five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson.

60th

PIETRINA AND MARIO VONA of Hicksville were married Feb. 11, 1950, in Italy. They immigrated to Canada in the 1950s and moved to Long Island in 1975. Mario is a retired carpenter, and Pietrina is a retired seamstress. They celebrated Feb. 13 with their three children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

MARGE AND ED DUNN of Mastic and New Port Richey, Fla., celebrated Jan. 31. Their daughter and son-in-law hosted a party last year for their golden anniversary at Summertree Clubhouse in New Port Richey. Ed is a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He is retired from Phipps Houses Services in Sunnyside, Queens. Marge is retired from Citibank. They have one daughter and one granddaughter.

ANNE AND ALBERT

CHIMENTI of Oceanside celebrated on Valentine's Day with a renewal of vows at Sacred Heart Church in Island Park. The family plans another celebration in late March with a trip to Beaches in Turks and Caicos. Albert is a retired foreman with NYNEX, and Anne is a retired clerk from the Village of Hewlett Harbor. They have one child, (another, a daughter, is deceased) and two grandchildren.

ROSEMARY AND GIL BALKAM of Ronkonkoma celebrated Jan. 17 at The Beach Club Estate overlooking Lake Ronkonkoma. Rosemary works for St. Joseph's religious education. Gil is retired from the Long Island Rail Road. They have four sons and three grandchildren.

MARY AND LARRY

TORNETTA of Manorville, formerly of Brentwood, were married Feb. 13, 1960, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated with family and friends at a dinner party at their son's home in Moriches. They have three children and six grandsons.
