60thMARGARET AND JOHN ALBORA of Plainview were wed Sept. 9, 1951, in Brooklyn. They celebrated at home with their family. John is retired from Hartman Systems in Huntington Station. Margaret is retired from the Plainview- Old Bethpage School District and enjoys baking, cooking and knitting. They have two sons, a grandson and two great- grandchildren.
60thMARY AND ANTHONY OLIVARI of East Northport celebrated Sept. 10 with a family dinner party. The couple were sweethearts at Northport High School. Anthony is a retired ceramic tile contractor and motion picture projectionist. Mary worked as a secretary at Pilgrim State Hospital. They have four children, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
50thJUDY AND RICHIE DESENA of West Islip were wed Aug. 26, 1961. They celebrated with a cruise to Bermuda with their three children, their spouses and six grandchildren. The couple met and started dating as teenagers in Brooklyn. They enjoy spending time with family and traveling back and forth to Florida.
40thMADELINE AND RICH SEIBERT of Massapequa were wed on Sept. 11, 1971. They celebrated on a cruise to Canada. Madeline has been working at London Lennie's Seafood Restaurant in Rego Park for 23 years. Rich is a retired sergeant from the New York Police Department. They have two children and three grandchildren.
40thLAURA AND ROBERT SCHULTZ of Syosset were wed on Aug. 22, 1971. They celebrated by taking their son, daughter and son-in-law on a dinner cruise around Manhattan. Robert retired in 2009 after working 39 years for the Farmingdale School District. They stay active in retirement by volunteering for Residents for a More Beautiful Syosset.
30thSUSAN AND JOHN MARTIN of Islip were wed July 11, 1981, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Lindenhurst. The nuptial Mass was officiated by Susan's uncle, the Rev. Robert Levis of Erie, Pa. They celebrated with dinner at Teller's Restaurant in Islip compliments of their son and daughter-in-law. A trip to Disney World in Florida is planned with their daughter. Susan is a religious educator. John is an environmental specialist. They have two children.
