60thELEANOR AND FRANK DANIELS SR. of Cedarhurst celebrated July 22 at a family dinner with their two children and six grandchildren. Frank is a retired landscaper, and Eleanor is a homemaker. They also have two great-grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their family.
50thBRENDA AND LOU SASSO, residents of East Williston for 45 years, were wed Aug. 26, 1961, at Saint Aidan Church in Williston Park. They celebrated with a family party at their home. Antique auto enthusiasts, they gifted each other with a 1932 Chrysler Roadster. They have three children and three grandchildren.
50thANNE AND HERB SCHMELKE of Mineola were wed July 29, 1961. They celebrated at the Milleridge Inn. Herb served in the Navy and retired from the postal service. Anne retired from Winthrop-Univeristy Hospital. Herb enjoys photography, and they both enjoy dancing. They have three children and two grandchildren.
50thIVY AND HARVEY KAPLAN of Mount Sinai, formerly of Commack, were wed Aug. 12, 1961. They celebrated with a cruise to Bermuda with their two daughters, their sons-in-law and five grandchildren. Ivy is a former nursery school teacher in Commack. Harvey retired as chief executive of a toy company.
50thDOMENICA AND ANTHONY SARRACCO of Brentwood were wed Aug. 5, 1961. They celebrated with a party at Captain Bill's in Bay Shore and a family cruise to Canada. Anthony is a retired aircraft mechanic with Eastern Airlines and American Airlines. Domenica is a homemaker. They have three children and five grandchildren.
50thPATRICIA AND JOSEPH
SCHUCHMAN of Setauket celebrated July 22 with a Mass at St. James Catholic Church followed by a luncheon at Mirabelle Restaurant in the Three Village Inn hosted by their children. Joseph is a Korean War veteran and a retired engineer at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Patricia worked at the Stony Brook Museum for 11 years. They have six children and 14 grandchildren.
