Nassau County anniversaries

60thPHYLLIS AND ALFONSO CAGGIANO of East Meadow were wed June 7, 1952. They celebrated at Verdi's in Westbury on June 24 with family and friends. Alfonso served in the Army during World War II and is a retired jeweler. Phyllis was the owner of Boos Florist in Hicksville and still works part-time as a florist. They have four children, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

60thIRENE AND ALLEN KERNER of Wantagh were wed June 22, 1952. Shortly thereafter, they put a deposit on a hole in the ground that was to be the site of their new home in Wantagh, where they still live. They celebrated with a trip to the Turks and Caicos. Irene retired as a teacher's aide from the Rosemary Kennedy BOCES School in North Bellmore. Allen served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired as the eastern regional engineer for the National Weather Service, NOAA. They enjoy their family, beach vacations and trips to New York City. They have three children and five grandchildren.

50thBARBARA AND ANTHONY FUINA of Massapequa were married on June 16, 1962. A surprise party was given by their four children at Beach Club Estates in Ronkonkoma that was attended by family and friends. Anthony is a retired New York City firefighter. They are the founders of the St. Padre Pio Miracle Foundation, a nonprofit for children with cancer and other illnesses. They have two grandchildren.

50thLUCILLE AND TOM D'ACHILLE of East Setauket were wed July 21, 1962, at Resurrection Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated on a Caribbean cruise with their two children and spouses and their four granddaughters. Tom is a retired financial planner at John Hancock Life Insurance Co. Lucille has worked as a bank teller, retail worker for Sears Roebuck and a teacher's aide in Three Village school district. They enjoy gardening and traveling.

25thMARY AND THOMAS MUSTO of Oceanside were wed May 15, 1987. They celebrated at Coral House in Baldwin on May 11 with family and friends. Thomas is a manager at the Coral House. Mary is a bookkeeper and receptionist at Pavalina's Hair Salon in Long Beach. They enjoy going to Atlantic City and dining out. They have two children.
