ANNA AND RICHARD MCGOWAN of West

Hempstead were married

June 3, 1950. They celebrated with family and just returned from a trans-Atlantic cruise. They have three children, nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

60th

MAUREEN AND ANDREW LOWRY of Seaford were married June 23, 1950. They celebrated with a party at their daughter's house on June 12. Andrew owned his own business and is an inactive Hempstead volunteer fireman. Maureen worked at the A. Holly Patterson care facility in Uniondale as a ward clerk and also at Nassau Thoracic Group in Mineola. They have six children, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

CARMELA AND SILVIO SERANI of Plainview were married June 9, 1951. They celebrated with family and friends. Silvio is a retired New York City firefighter with 36 years of service who worked in all five boroughs during his tenure. He is also a retired chiropractor who practiced in Plainview for 35 years. He served in World War II and received two Medals of Honor for his service. Carmela retired in February from the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District after 26 years. She also had many years of service in various positions in other districts. They have three daughters and two grandchildren.

AUDREY AND ALFRED

WEINBERG of Farmingdale were married June 5, 1960. Their two sons gave them a surprise party on June 12 at Butera's in Smithtown. They met on Feb. 19, 1959, Alfred's birthday, on a blind date. Alfred is a Holocaust survivor who escaped Germany with his parents and brother and settled in the Dominican Republic. He came to New York in 1953. They have four grandchildren.

50th

KAY AND BILL GERSTNER, formerly of Mineola and now residing in Rocky Point, celebrated their anniversary June 6 with a party at New Hyde Park Inn, the site of their wedding reception. They celebrated with their five children, eight grandchildren and extended family including Bill's mother and stepfather. They spend their winters in Isles of Capri, Fla. Bill was the past grand knight of Corpus Christi Council of the Knights of Columbus.

CAROLE AND EDDIE

GREENFIELD of Oceanside were married July 5, 1970. They celebrated at a dinner with family. Carole works in retail at PM Boutique in Oceanside. Eddie manages Stark Carpet in Syosset. They have two children and three grandchildren.
