DE ROSA of Seaford were wed Sept. 16, 1951, at St. Mary Gate of Heaven in Ozone Park. A celebration in Boston is planned. Michael is retired from Leviton Manufacturing Co. They have two children, four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

EDELMAN, fondly known as "The Freddies" and residents of Oceanside for more than 50 years, were wed Sept. 19, 1951. They celebrated on Sept. 24 at a party hosted by their four children at Rachel's Waterside Grill in Freeport. Frederika is a homemaker and enjoys reading. Fred enjoys working as a salesman in the men's clothing industry. They have four grandchildren.

60thSHIRLEY AND JAY LEFFE of Jericho celebrated their anniversary and Shirley's 80th birthday on Sept. 16. They entertained their four children, their spouses and eight grandchildren with a dinner party at their home. Jay is senior vice president at Stifel Nicolaus in Garden City.

50thREBECCA AND CHARLES FOWLER JR. of Massapequa were wed Sept. 9, 1961. They celebrated with a surprise three-tier wedding cake presented at St. Mary's Church in Amityville. It continued with an afternoon luncheon and a meal prepared by their grandson, the chef at Verace Restaurant in Islip. Charles is an aviation inspector for the FAA. Previously he worked for PanAm and Delta airlines. Rebecca retired as a certified teaching assistant in Amityville school district. She volunteers in the America Reads Program. They have three sons and five grandchildren.

45thCLAIRE AND FRED BOTHE of Franklin Square were wed Aug. 13, 1966, at St. Boniface Church in Elmont. They celebrated with a trip to Hawaii and Las Vegas. Fred is retired from the New York Telephone Co. They have three children and seven grandchildren.

25thREVs. ELLEN AND RICHARD O. MCEACHERN of North Baldwin were wed May 10, 1986, at Mt. Olive AME Church in Wilmington, N.C. They were college sweethearts who met at North Carolina A&T State University 30 years ago. They renewed their wedding vows on May 28 at Macedonia AME Church in Flushing on May 28, where Richard is pastor and Ellen is assistant pastor. They took a Hawaiian Island cruise in August. They have two children.
