55thMARION AND AVRUM BLOOMSTONE of North Massapequa were married on March 20, 1955, in Newburgh. They celebrated at a dinner with family. They enjoy going to the movies and spending time with family. They have four children and five grandchildren.


ELLEN AND CHARLIE PFAFFE of New Hyde Park celebrated on Feb. 21 at a surprise dinner party with family and friends at Giardino's in Douglaston. Charlie is retired from the phone company and now works part-time at The Home Depot. Ellen is a homemaker. They raised four daughters and have 10 grandchildren.


BARBARA AND JOSEPH LOVAGLIO of Lynbrook were married March 25, 1960. They celebrated with a dinner party at Pompei Restaurant in West Hempstead. Joseph retired as a custodian with the Lynbrook school district, and Barbara is retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Lynbrook. They have four daughters and eight grandchildren.


IDA AND HAROLD JAILAL of Port Jefferson celebrated March 8 with a trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. Harold is in the accounting department at Global Tissue Group in Medford. Ida works at Omega Moulding in Medford. They have two daughters and five grandchildren.


CLAIRE MAUREEN AND TOM CAREW of Rockville Centre were married Feb. 21, 1970, at St. Joseph's Church in Garden City. Tom first saw Claire a month after he was discharged from the Marines at Shapely's in Carle Place. Tom is retired from Oracle Corp. in Manhattan, and Claire works part-time at Seafield Services in Amityville. Their daughter and son-in-law hosted a celebration for the family at their home in Lynbrook. Their gift was tickets to a Broadway play and dinner at Sardi's. They have four children and a granddaughter.


TERRYANN AND GEORGE MILANI of Centereach were married March 9, 1985, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Northport. They celebrated with their two children and family with a brunch at Snapper Inn in Oakdale where they renewed their vows.
