ARLENE AND WILLIAM

GOLDIS of Hicksville were wed June 17, 1951. They celebrated at a dinner with family. William is self-employed and does architectural displays. They have a son and daughter and three granddaughters.

50th

LINDA AND PAUL WEINBERG of Merrick were wed July 30, 1961. They celebrated with with family and friends at a party at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. They have two children and four grandchildren.

40th

LILLIAN AND WALTER HINKELMAN of North Babylon were wed June 12, 1971, at Our Lady of Grace Church in Howard Beach, Queens. They celebrated with a family dinner. Walter recently retired from Con Edison. Lillian is a homemaker. They have three children.

VIVIEN AND SAM MOTT of Hempstead were wed July 18, 1981. They celebrated with a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands. They met at a dance at Adelphi University during Vivien's freshman year. Vivien is a social worker in the Roosevelt school district, and Sam is a material specialist for National Grid. They have two children.

DENISE AND ROC WATERS of Little Neck were wed July 18, 1986. Denise and Roc met in jail when they both were correction officers. They are both retired and volunteer at a local dog shelter, training and handling dogs to help prepare them for adoption.

LEYLA AND WILLIAM

MCDERMOTT of South Hempstead, originally from Istanbul, Turkey, (Leyla) and Levittown (William) were wed June 21, 1986, in West Hempstead. Along with their oldest grandson, they celebrated as VIP guests for a Mets game at Citi Field. Leyla is a medical technologist at Beth Israel Medical Center and teaches at Hunter College in Manhattan. William is a technical documents administrator with the Long Island Rail Road.
