65thANN AND FRANK DE MARIA of Glen Oaks were wed May 11, 1947. They celebrated with their three children, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Frank was born in Italy and came to America when he was 17 because he wanted to fight for freedom and democracy. He is a retired garment industry tailor.
60thKATHLEEN AND JOSEPH DEHLER of Wantagh were wed Sept. 6, 1952. They celebrated this Sept. 8 by renewing vows at St. Frances de Chantal Church in Wantagh, followed by a reception with family and friends at the Knights of Columbus Memorare Council in Seaford. Joseph retired as vice president of C.I.T. Financial Corp. He plays softball for the Long Island Senior Softball Association and has been bowling for Cherrywood Athletic Club for almost 45 years. Kathleen is a homemaker and enjoys bowling. They have six children, nine grandchildren, one great-grandson and one great-great-granddaughter.
60thMICHELINA AND MICHAEL PRISCO of Kings Park were wed Aug. 9, 1952, in Brooklyn. They celebrated with family. Michael worked in the restaurant business. Michelina retired from Pilgrim State Hospital in Brentwood in 1987. They have two daughters, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
55thLILLIAN AND JACK OSTRAGER of Bellmore were wed July 13, 1957. They celebrated by attending the play "Harvey" at Studio 54 and with family at Tellers Restaurant in Islip. They enjoy plays on Broadway, at Lincoln Center and Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor, and films at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington. They also enjoy dining out, concerts, boating, swimming, reading and walking. They have three children and three grandchildren.
50thRUTH AND BILL HILL were wed Feb. 24, 1962, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Riverhead. They celebrated with a garden party in July at their home in West Babylon. Ruth is a retired special-education teacher from West Babylon school district. Bill is a retired property manager and real estate broker. They have six children, 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
40thMAUREEN AND RON HAMEL of Holbrook, childhood sweethearts, were wed July 16, 1972, at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Hicksville. They celebrated with dinner at Lombardi's on the Bay in Patchogue hosted by their three children. Ron is a retired Nassau County police officer. Maureen is retired from Citibank. They enjoy spending time with family at their second home in Myrtle Beach, S.C. They have four grandchildren.
