Candy bars were stolen from Hampton Inn on Jericho Turnpike March 2.
A Hicksville man, 20, was charged March 1 with attempting to rob an individual by gunpoint on Powells Avenue.

Massapequa
Four tires and rims were stolen March 3 from two 2009 Nissans at a dealership lot on Sunrise Highway.
A Massapequa man, 24, was charged March 5 with fourth-degree grand larceny. He was allegedly caught on surveillance tape stealing the purse of a co-worker at Best Yet Market on Merrick Road.

Jewelry and a camcorder were discovered stolen from a residence on Stuyvesant Avenue on March 1.
