Reports from county or village police, Jan. 17-23
An attempted burglary was discovered on University Road on Jan. 18. No loss was reported.
A DVD player was stolen from a vehicle on Floyd Place on Jan. 20.
Three men, 21 to 25, were arrested
Jan. 17 on School Street and charged with third-degree assault. A fourth man, 36, was additionally charged with forcible touching.
Three women, 66, 59 and 49, were arrested Jan. 19 on prostitution charges on Glen Street and Cedar Swamp Road.
An iPod was discovered stolen Jan. 23 from a vehicle on Cocks Lane.
Items that included a GPS unit, glasses and cash were stolen from two vehicles on Circle Drive on Jan. 18.
A cell phone was stolen Jan. 17 at Iceworks on Underhill Boulevard.
A TV and an iPod were stolen Jan. 20 on Muttontown Road.
A Syosset boy, 16, was arrested Jan. 20 at Syosset High School for allegedly being in possession of a controlled substance (Xanax and Adderall pills).
A GPS unit was discovered stolen from a vehicle on Wren Drive on Jan. 18.
ELSEWHERE
Three unknown men armed with handguns forcibly took $30, credit cards and a cell phone from an individual on Dauntless Parkway on Jan. 21.
Two armed unknown men forcibly took a wallet, credit cards, gold necklace and two gold rings from an individual on Hempstead Turnpike on Jan. 23.
Two laptops, a Sony PlayStation 3, a Nintendo DS and $450 were stolen from a house on Phoebe Street on Jan. 21. Entry was gained through a bathroom window.

Jewelry and money were stolen from a home on Johnson Lane Jan. 21. Entry was gained through an unlocked side window.
