Albertson

A laptop and jewelry were stolen from a Croyden Court residence May 5.

Garden City Park

Cash was stolen 4 from an Old Stewart Avenue house May 4.

Glen Cove

A woman, 24, was arrested May 3 on Glen Cove Avenue and charged with assault, aggravated criminal contempt and criminal possession of a weapon.

A man, 64, was arrested May 4 on Forest Avenue and charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

A man and a woman, 40 and 47 respectively, were arrested May 6 on Glen Cove Avenue and charged with seventh-

degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and first-degree loitering.

Mineola

Jewelry was stolen from a Dow Avenue residence May 3.

Two individuals were arrested and charged with allegedly assaulting and robbing a person on Garfield Avenue on May 8. The suspects are accused of running up behind a male victim, knocking him to the ground and punching and kicking him. They stole $250, credit cards and identification. The credit cards and ID were later recovered.

New Cassel

A New Cassel man was arrested May 6 after an incident at a Sheridan Street location in which he allegedly stabbed a man in the head and threw a pot of soup in his face.

Roslyn Heights

A laptop, two Rolex watches and $2,000 were stolen from a Percheron Lane residence May 7.

Searingtown

Two laptops, credit cards, checks and jewelry were stolen from a Birch Hill residence May 5.

Syosset

A wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at Marshall's on Jericho Turnpike May 2.

Westbury

An individual reported getting into an argument with a man on Union Avenue May 2. The suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed the victim's arm.

Jewelry was stolen from a Fieldstone Street residence May 6.

Woodbury

A pocketbook and a passport were stolen from a vehicle on Jericho Turnpike May 2.

Elsewhere

East Farmingdale

On May 8, police responded to a call at Central Avenue between New Highway and Wellwood Avenue, where a group of people were gathered watching a drag race. An Island Park man and a Centerport man, both 19, were arrested at the scene and charged with an illegal speed contest violation. Their cars were impounded.

Massapequa

On May 5, a Camp Road man reported extensive damage to his 2005 BMW, allegedly caused by a man hired to install a fence on the property. The complainant said after he refused to pay the installer in advance, the suspect grabbed a machete from his vehicle and used it to strike and cause damage to the BMW.
