Seek suspects in robbery, sneakers theft

Nassau police are looking for Sadik Abdul.

Police say that on July 3, Abdul, 45, assaulted and robbed at gunpoint the owners of a house on Marc Drive in Valley Stream. Abdul was with another man, and the pair then fled on foot.

He is described as about 6-feet tall and 220 pounds with short hair and brown eyes. His last known address was on East 46th Street in Brooklyn.

Suffolk police and their Crime Stoppers department are looking for two people thought to be involved in the theft of a pair of sneakers from a Commack store.

At about 3:40 p.m. on March 27, police say the pair went into Kohl's department store on Crooked Hill Road. According to police, the man removed the security tag from the sneakers and placed them into a handbag the woman was carrying. The suspects then left without paying and fled in a tan Chevrolet Trail Blazer, police said.

The man is described as 20 to 25 years old and 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-feet tall. He was wearing a black tank top under a zippered sweatshirt that had a tiger on it, white shorts, a white baseball cap and black sneakers.

The woman is described as blond, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-7 and about 165 pounds. She was wearing a gray top underneath an open white shirt, blue jeans, and calf-high boots. She was also wearing hoop earrings.
