ACTIONS

At its May 20 meeting, the town board:

After due study and deliberation of the subject record, issued a SEQRA Negative Declaration, determination of non-signifcance (EIS not necessary), for limited approval of Special Exemption Petition No. 2010-01 (Townhouse Development Llc) by Townhouse Development Llc, so as to allow the construction of a proposed

11-by-22-foot awning, dated May 18.

Issued a written consistency determination pursuant to Chapter 151 of the Town Code, that application No. 09-12(JD Evans Construction) is consistent with the LWRP subject to conditions as stated in the April 29 memorandum from the Planning Director.

Authorized the town clerk to issue a Parade/Run/Walk permit to Wood Park Primary School for its annual Fitness Walk and to notify the proper authorities.

Approved an application for a permit to operate a petting zoo at the Town of Smithtown Hoyt Farm Park as required under Article 17 of the Suffolk County Sanitary Code.

Authorized Glenn Jorgensen, Superintendent of Highways, to enter into an agreement with the State of New York for the purpose of snow removal operations on state-owned highways within the jurisdiction of the Town of Smithtown borders for the 2010-2011 season on forms approved by the Office of the Town Attorney.

Authorized the town clerk to issue a Special Event Permit to Sts. Philip and James Parish for its annual carnival on June 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and to notify the proper authorities, subject to conditions as enumerated in a memorandum from John Valentine, public safety director.
