ACTIONS

At its Jan. 21 meeting, the town board:

Authorized the town clerk to advertise for a public hearing to be held at the Eugene A. Cannataro Senior Citizen Center, 420 Middle Country Rd., on Feb. 25

at 7 p.m. for zoning petition  -01 by Ruth Haar/Susan VanDerzee, c/o Vincent J. Trimarco, Esq., 1038 W. Jericho Tpke., Smithtown, for a change of zone from R-10 (Residential 10,000 square feet) to PB (Professional Business), for property located on the north side of Town Line Road, 268.11 feet west of Opal Court, Hauppauge, SCT #: 156-2-17, as per memorandum from the town planning director dated Dec. 19.

Authorized the town clerk to advertise for the following bid to be returned to Town Hall, 99 W. Main St., P.O. Box 646, Smithtown, NY 11787, at 11 a.m. on Feb. 18: Bid # 10-001: Northeast Branch Nissequogue River Wetlands Restoration Phase I.

Authorized bid # 09-093 for the sale of recycled plastics and metals to Waste Management-Recycle America as per bids opened on Dec. 17, and authorized the supervisor to sign an agreement on a form approved by the town attorney.

Authorized bid # 09-099 for a dump trailer to Spector Manufacturing as per bids opened Dec. 17, and authorized the purchase of the associated goods and services.

Authorized the town clerk to advertise for the following Request For Proposals to be returned to Town of Smithtown Purchasing Department, 65 Maple Ave., Smithtown, 11787, until 4 p.m. on Feb. 18: RFP# 10-002: Professional Architectural and Engineering Services.
