ACTIONS

At its June 24 meeting,

the town board:

Awarded request for membership for maintenance and repair of physical systems, to Apex Companies, LLC; Bensin Contracting, Inc.; EnviroTrac Environmental Services; Miller Environmental Group; Wehran Energy Corp. as per proposals returned May 27.

Authorized the town clerk to issue a parade/run/walk permit to Smithtown High School for its annual homecoming parade to be held on Oct. 9, and to notify the proper authorities.

Accepted the proposal dated June 8 from Wehran Energy Corp. to provide landfill gas monitoring services for various town facilities at a cost not to exceed $71,916 per year, and further authorized the supervisor to execute an agreement on a form approved by the town attorney.

Approved Supervisor Patrick R. Vecchio's appointment of Elissa A. Grieco to the Youth Advisory Board for a term of office from June 25 to Dec. 31, 2011.

Approved Supervisor Patrick R. Vecchio's appointment of Krista Whitman, LCSW, to the Youth Advisory Board for a term of office from June 25 through Dec. 31, 2013.

Approved a fee increase for disposal of antifreeze at the Smithtown Municipal Services Facility to $1 per gallon.

Authorized Senior Bay Constable Patrick Gilligan to attend and participate in the New York State Division of Criminal Justices Informational Sessions for Excess Property Program on July 16 at the Rockland County Police Academy at no cost to the town, and further authorized the use of a town vehicle.
