ACTIONS

At its April 6 meeting, the town board:

Authorized Fire Marshal Nicholas Kefalos of the Department of Public Safety to attend the state Academy of Fire Science Fire Sprinkler Plans Review on May 22-23 at a cost of $96 to the town, and further authorized the use of a town vehicle.

Adopted amendment to Chapter 112-10 of the Code of the Town of Smithtown titled Building Permit Required; considered a change to Chapter 112-15 titled Stop Work; penalty as per public hearing held on March 2.

Authorized the town clerk to issue a parade/run/walk permit to the American Legion Post 944 for its annual Memorial Day parade, and to notify the proper authorities.

Authorized the town clerk to issue a parade/run/walk permit to the VFW Post 395 for its annual Memorial Day parade, and to notify the proper authorities.

Authorized the town clerk to issue a parade/run/walk permit to the Ronkonkoma Rotary for its annual fun run and 4 Mile Run Around the Lake, and to notify the proper authorities.

Authorized the town clerk to issue a parade/run/walk permit to the Smithtown Chamber of Commerce for its annual 5K Running of the Bull, and to notify the proper authorities.

Authorized the town clerk to publish a public notice regarding proposed locations for the installation of curb cuts for accessibility for the disabled.

Authorized the supervisor to execute an agreement with Gloria Lopez for consulting services with Horizons Counseling Center effective April 14-April 13, 2011 on a form approved by the town attorney.
