Nassau police and their Crime Stoppers unit are looking for a man suspected in four bank robberies in Nassau County.

Police say the same man robbed Roslyn Bank on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park on Oct. 7 and three Bethpage Federal Credit Union banks: on Merrick Road in Freeport on Nov. 16; on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook on Dec. 16; and on Nassau Road in Roosevelt on Feb. 3.

The suspect either approaches the teller with a robbery note or walks in, looks around and exits, only to return to rob the bank. He has said he has a gun, but none has been displayed to date. He may be driving a small white SUV.

The suspect is described as 50 to 60 years old, 6-feet, 2-inches tall and 250 pounds. He has worn a baseball-type cap, large dark sunglasses, blue jeans and white sneakers. He has also either worn a blue denim, three-quarter-length buttoned jacket or an olive green, three-quarter-length buttoned jacket.
