JESSIE AND JOHN MARCHESE of Bellerose Manor were wed April 13, 1947. John was Jessie's next-door neighbor, but she did not meet him until after the war when his parents had a welcome home party. They had two sons, both of whom are deceased. John and Jessie have been blessed with two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

BARBARA ANN AND GEORGE GOEHRING of Westbury were wed in the First Presbyterian Church in Elmhurst on April 29, 1950, by Dr. Howard A. Northacker. They celebrated with their family and parishioners at the Parkway Community Church in Hicksville. George was a B-24 pilot during World War II. He met his wife after the war at Pratt Institute of Art, where they were students. George ran a home-based ad agency, and Barbara Ann also worked in it until they retired in 2004. They display their artworks at shows and competitions and have won many awards. They have five children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

PAULINE (HONEY) AND ALLEN (SKIP) CORDINGLEY of Central Islip celebrated March 20 with a family dinner at Bayberry Cafe in Islip. Allen retired from Fairchild Republic and now works at Atlantic Chevy in Bay Shore. Pauline is a homemaker. They have six children, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

JEANNE AND JOE RAIO, life- long residents of Huntington Station, were wed April 23, 1961. They celebrated at a surprise brunch at Woodlands at the Greens in Melville. The couple were high school sweethearts at South Huntington High School. They have two children and six grandchildren who all live in Huntington.

40th

LINDA AND JOSEPH CHIERCHIO of Medford were wed April 24, 1971, in Brooklyn. They celebrated with a surprise party hosted by their two children at Sunset Harbor in Patchogue. Linda works at Loria's 112 Carpet in Medford. Joseph is a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam and a retired New York City correction officer. The celebration continued with a trip to Mount Airy Casino in Mount Pocono, Pa., where they had honeymooned in 1971. They have five grandchildren.
