Stanley is a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the New York City Police Department. Gena retired from Airborne Instrument Laboratory in Deer Park. They have two grandchildren.

59thMARY AND AURELIO "LEO" ROMEU of Central Islip were wed Nov. 9, 1952, when Leo returned after serving in the U.S. Army in Korea. Leo retired from the New York City Department of Sanitation. One of their two sons is deceased. They also have six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.50thESMIRNA AND JORGE ADAMES of Brentwood were wed Nov. 11, 1961. They celebrated with a party at the Knights of Columbus in Brentwood. Jorge is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He is a retired bus operator with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Esmirna is a homemaker and retired school bus driver. They have three children and 11 grandchildren.

50thDOTTIE AND BOB BUGDIN of Aquebogue were wed Oct. 21, 1961. They celebrated with family and friends at a party at the Riverhead Polish Hall. Dottie retired from the Town of Riverhead. Bob is a semiretired self-employed plumber. They have three children and three grandsons.

BURGERT of East Northport, originally from Germany, were wed Nov. 12, 1961, at Sunrise Village in Bellmore. They celebrated with a family weekend at an upstate New York resort. They have two children and one grandchild.
