60thMILDRED AND LLOYD

ANDERSEN of Hampton Bays, formerly of Rockville Centre, were wed Oct. 7, 1951, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Springfield Gardens, Queens. They celebrated with a family dinner at Buoy One in Westhampton. The couple met as freshmen at New York University. Lloyd is a U.S. Army veteran and retired as vice president of marine claims for Marine Office of America Corp. Mildred retired as a teacher at Lindenhurst High School. They have three children and six grandchildren.

60thMARIE AND ED SCOTTALINE of West Babylon celebrated Sept. 1 with dinner at Captain Bill's in Bay Shore. Ed works part-time at West Babylon High School. Marie retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance in Babylon and now volunteers at Our Lady of Grace Church in West Babylon. They have three children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

50thELAINE AND RAY HEDGES of Northport were wed Sept. 17, 1961. The couple were sweethearts at Northport High School. They celebrated on a three-week trip to Colorado where they toured the national parks. The celebration continued with a surprise party at the Elks Club in Huntington hosted by their two children, their spouses and four grandchildren.

50thPATTY AND JIM STIRLING of Ridge were wed Sept. 17, 1961. A dinner at Desmonds East Wind in Wading River was hosted by their two children. Jim retired as an engineer at Grumman in Bethpage after 32 years. They have five grandchildren.

40thANNA AND ED MCGOVERN of Centereach were wed June 19, 1971, at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Wyandanch. They celebrated with a dinner at the Shoreham Beach Club with their two children, family and friends. Ed retired from the Town of Huntington engineering department. Anna enjoys doing volunteer work.

30thLUCI AND BOB SWAN of Sayville were wed Aug. 29, 1981, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Massapequa, where they both went to school. They celebrated with a trip to St. Martin. Luci just completed her master's degree and is a registered nurse and a case management director. Bob is inspector in charge of training and special events at Stony Brook University Police Department. They have two children.
