70thMARIE AND BEN SERRAof North Babylon, formerly of Hollis, Queens, were wed Oct. 9, 1943, at Queen of All Saints Church in Brooklyn while Ben was serving as a U.S. Army corporal. Marie retired as an executive secretary from the New York Racing Association. Ben retired after 50 years with UPS and later worked at Chase Bank in Manhattan. They have five children, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

70thMARGARET AND JOSEPH HEGMANN of Wantagh were wed Sept. 30, 1943. They celebrated with family at a luncheon at The Carltun in East Meadow. Joseph is a World War II veteran and retired from AT&T/Lucent in 1984. Margaret is a homemaker. They have two daughters, four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

60thPAT AND BILL CUTRONE of Hicksville were wed Aug. 23, 1953, at Immaculate Conception Church in Astoria, Queens. They celebrated with their four children, their spouses and 12 grandchildren at a dinner party at La Famiglia in Plainview. Bill is a retired New York City firefighter with Ladder 117. Pat retired as a secretary in Hicksville schools. 50thRUTH AND ED CUCCIAof Medford were wed Aug. 18, 1963, at St. Martha's Church in Uniondale. They celebrated with family and friends at the Mediterranean Manor in Patchogue. A European vacation is planned. Ed is a semiretired contractor. Ruth is a homemaker. They had three children, one of whom is deceased, and three granddaughters.

ALTHOFFof Shoreham were wed Aug. 24, 1968. They celebrated with a party hosted by family followed by a trip to Montauk, where they had honeymooned. The couple have two children and two grandchildren.

35thEILEEN AND PAUL SKURNICKof Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Commack, were wed Aug. 26, 1978. They celebrated with a trip to Orlando, Fla., to see a performance of Cirque Du Soleil. Paul is a registered nurse at West Palm Beach Veterans Hospital. Eileen is also a registered nurse, working as a field supervisor with Community Home Care Facility in Fort Pierce, Fla. They have four sons and four grandchildren.
