Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers unit are looking for information on an alleged arson in Glen Cove.

Police say that at about 3:10 a.m. on Sept. 1, a fire was started on the site of the St. Rocco's bakery building under construction at Four St. Rocco's Place.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk police and its Crime Stoppers unit are looking for a suspect in a hit-and-run crash in East Patchogue.

Police say that at 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 6, Eric Dennis, 22, was riding his bicycle south across South Country Road when he was struck by a westbound vehicle. The driver stayed on the scene. Dennis, of East Patchogue, was then struck by a second vehicle, whose driver was going east on South Country Road, and left the scene. Dennis died of his injuries the following day, according to police.

The automobile which left the scene was described as a light-colored SUV.
