Wanted: Armed robbery suspect

Suffolk police are looking for two men responsible for four armed robberies in the past month.

Police say that at about 12:30 a.m. on July 15, two men wearing masks robbed the 7-Eleven at 660 Lakeland Ave. in Bohemia, displaying a handgun and demanding cash from the sales clerk.

At 10:52 p.m. on July 15, one of the men, wearing a yellow mask, entered Viajo's Pizzeria at 1277 E. Jericho Tpke. in Huntington, struck an employee in the head, and took cash from the register. He then fled in a silver sedan driven by the other suspect, police said.

On Friday, July 22, the suspects robbed two more 7-Eleven stores, according to police. At about 1:25 a.m., one of the men, wearing a yellow bandanna covering half his face, a black hoodie and black gloves, put a handgun to the clerk's head and demanded all the money in the register and the cigarettes at the 7-Eleven at 1700 Veterans Memorial Hwy. in Islandia. Later, at 2:40 a.m., the two men robbed the 7-Eleven at 5640 Sunrise Hwy. in Sayville. One of the suspects, wearing the same mask, held a silver handgun and stole cash from the register, while the other suspect acted as lookout, police said.

The two men appeared to be in their early 20s. One was about 6-foot-2, and about 160 pounds. He wore acid-washed dark jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt, and carried a black backpack. The other man is about 5-foot-9 and wore long plaid shorts and a light colored T-shirt under a dark sweatshirt.
