Wanted: Gas station robbery, pharmacy theft
Hempstead Village police and Nassau Crime Stoppers are looking for two men who they say robbed a Hempstead gas station at gunpoint.
At about 9:20 p.m. on Nov. 14, police say the two men walked into the Shamrock gas station on South Franklin St., and one, wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, pointed a silver automatic handgun and demanded cash from the clerk. The two suspects left the station with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Suffolk police are looking for a man who they say took merchandise from a Patchogue pharmacy.
Police say a surveillance tape shows the man taking Zyrtec allergy medication from the CVS Pharmacy on Route 27A on Dec. 8, and then leaving the store without paying for it.
