Wanted: Identity theft; stolen wallet
Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a suspect in a Malverne identity theft case.
Police say sometime from Jan. 2 to Jan. 4 the victim's Ridgewood Savings Card was used without his permission to make several purchases at pharmacies in Nassau County.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a man who stole a wallet from a woman's shopping cart at a Huntington supermarket.
Police say that at 10:30 a.m. on Apr. 6, the suspect took a wallet that was left on the child seat of the shopping car by a female shopper. When the woman realized what happened, she ran after the man and he dropped the wallet as he left the store. He drove away in a white pickup truck, according to police.
The suspect appeared to be in his 40s, and had brown hair. He was wearing a dark blue jacket with a gray collar, a plaid shirt, jeans and sneakers.
