Wanted: Murder information sought; criminal mischief
Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for information about a murder in Hempstead.
About 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 4, the victim, Melvin Wells, 40, was shot and killed in front of his house at 133 Linden Ave.
Anyone with information may call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
Crime Stoppers and Suffolk police are looking for Luis A. Perez for a criminal mischief charge.
Police said that sometime on June 13, Perez, also known as Gustavo Gonzalez, used a large rock to smash the windows and windshield of a 2002 Toyota Highlander while it was parked at 130 Depot Road in Huntington Station.
