Wanted: Murder suspects; pet shop burglar
Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for one or more suspects in volved in the shooting of Michael Prophet, above.
Police say that at about 11:15 p.m. on April 16, Prophet, 35, of Hempstead, was fatally shot while in a fast-food restaurant parking lot at 340 Peninsula Blvd. in Hempstead. Two other men, who have not been identified, suffered injuries from the gunshots and were taken to local hospitals.
Crime Stoppers asks anyone who has any information about the crime to call the confidential hotline at 800-244-8477.
Suffolk police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a male suspect who broke into a pet grooming store in Nesconset and stole a cash register and the money and checks within, estimated at $780.
Police say that on April 16, the suspect, above, smashed the glass door to gain entry to Lakeside Grooming, 292 Smithtown Blvd, Nesconset, and stole the items.
Crime Stoppers asks anyone who can identify the suspect or has any information about the crime to call the confidential hotline at 800-220-8477. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
