The bride is coordinator of program planning for AHRC Nassau in Old Brookville and is the daughter of Marie and Gary Foster of Bay Shore. The bridegroom is a self-employed attorney and the son of the late Virginia and Joseph Whelan. The bride earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from St. John's University. The groom earned a juris doctor from St. John's University School of Law. They live in West Babylon.
