She is a special-education teacher for the Churchill School and Center in Manhattan and is the daughter of Cheryl and Steven Haber of Merrick. The bridegroom is vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle financial services in Manhattan and is the son of Patricia and Howard Berke of Bedford. The bride earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education and special education from Indiana University and a master's degree in literacy education from Hunter College. The groom earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Union College. They live in Manhattan.
