She is a registered nurse for South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside and is the daughter of Heather and Peter Principe of Oceanside. The bridegroom is a New York City police officer and is the son of Susan and Brian Wilkes of Oceanside. The bride earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hofstra University and a nursing degree from Nassau Community College. The groom earned a bachelor's degree in sport psychology from Towson University. They live in Oceanside.
