She is a special-education teacher and is the daughter of Sylvia Quinones of Manhattan and the late Alfred Hernandez. The bridegroom is an elementary school principal and is the son of Teresa Santiago of Brooklyn and Rafael Rios of Puerto Rico. The bride earned a master of science in special education and general education from New York University. The groom earned a master of science in educational administration from New York University. They live in Baldwin.
