Wedding: Karen Tobkes and Cory Lanker

Karen Tobkes and Cory Lanker were married Aug. 1 at Coe Hall at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay. The reception was at the Homestead Restaurant in Oyster Bay. She is a student and is the daughter of Joyce and Alan Tobkes of Jericho. The bridegroom is in the teaching fellowship program at Iowa State University and is the son of Sandy and Craig Lanker of Toledo, Ohio. The bride earned a bachelor of arts from the University of Pittsburgh and is pursuing a master's degree from Iowa State University. The groom earned a master of science from Carnegie Mellon University. They live in Ames, Iowa.
