Kristine Day and Bernardo Menendez were wed Aug. 21 at East Wind Country Gardens in Wading River with a reception following. She is a homeowners representative for State Farm Insurance in Melville and is the daughter of Barbara Day of Middle Island and John Day of Weleetka, Okla. The bridegroom is a chef at Bistro 72 in Riverhead and is the son of Maya Schatten of Miami and Miguel Menendez of Boca Raton, Fla. The bride graduated from Centereach High School and attended Nassau Community College. The groom attended Spanish River High School in Boca Raton and graduated from the Culinary Academy of New York. They live in Medford.
