She is a science teacher for Southwest Middle School in Lakeland, Fla., and is the daughter of Brent and Elaine Kerr of Freeport. The bridegroom is a financial aid counselor for Southeastern University in Lakeland and is the son of Homer and Dawn Spears of Winchester, Va. The bride earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education biology from Southeastern University. The groom earned a bachelor's degree in theology and is pursuing a master's degree from Southeastern University. They live in Lakeland.
