Maria Russo and Kevin Kennedy were married on July 19 at The Royalton Mansion in Roslyn Heights, with a reception following. She is a school psychologist for the Copiague School District and is the daughter of Philip and Joan Russo of Huntington Bay and Philadelphia. The bridegroom is a behavioral school psychologist for Western Suffolk BOCES and is the son of Kevin and Theresa Kennedy of East Islip. The bride earned a master's degree in school psychology from Queens College, the City University of New York, and is pursuing a PhD in educational psychology from The Graduate Center, CUNY. The groom earned a master's degree in school psychology and a post graduate degree in applied behavior analysis from Queens College, CUNY. They live in Huntington Bay.
