Nicole Smith and Daniel Halavik were married on Sept. 14 at Land's End in Sayville. She is a professional staff member for the Committee on Homeland Security of the U.S. House of Representatives and is the daughter of JoAnne and Michael Chludzinski of East Northport. The bridegroom is a certified public accountant and a senior accountant for Forrester Construction Co. and is the son of Penny and David Halavik of Virginia Beach, Va. The bride earned a master's degree from George Mason University. The groom earned a master's degree from Virginia Polytechnic University. They live in Washington, D.C.
