She is a social worker for Catholic Guardian Society and Home Bureau in Hampton Bays and is the daughter of Sue and Paul Magnusson of Shirley. The bridegroom is a sales and leasing consultant for Smithtown Acura in St. James and is the son of Belinda Szoflada of Patchogue and Anthony Verderosa of West Sayville. The bride earned a bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's College. The groom attended Suffolk County Community College and served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. They live in Shirley.
