Andrew M. Thaler of Garden City was recently named among New York's top attorneys for 2012 by Super Lawyers, a rating service for lawyers coordinated by financial-data firm Thomson Reuters. Thaler is a founding partner of East Meadow-based law firm Thaler Gertler, where he handles bankruptcy and creditor/debtor rights, and has presided over about 20,000 bankruptcy cases in his career. He is also a federally-appointed Panel Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee for the Eastern District of New York's Bankruptcy Court and a mediator for the Eastern District and Nassau County's Division of the Supreme Court.
