Barbara Cohen of Syosset was recently honored by Temple B'nai Torah in Wantagh and Israel Bonds, an organization that sells securities issued by the government of Israel, based on her "tireless efforts" as a temple volunteer for the past 23 years. Cohen, a client relationship manager with a financial institution, is former president of the temple and has volunteered with Toys for Tots, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Franklin Hospital in Valley Stream. She was also a panelist at the 2012 Mentoring Matters Conference at LIU Post in Brookville.
