Barbara Fontana of Wading River recently received the first Mentor of the Year Award from the Suffolk County Psychological Association based on her "many years of mentoring early career psychologists." Fontana, a psychologist in Shoreham, has had a private practice since 1979 and is currently treasurer and an executive board member of the New York State Psychological Association. She is also a past president of the Suffolk County Psychological Association, a trustee and secretary of the Wading River Cemetery Association, and a member of Wading River's civic association and historical society.
