Barry Goggin of Ronkonkoma has received the 2011 Contractor of the Year Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry for "excellent work" in the field displayed through his remodeling efforts. He is the association's Long Island/New York City Chapter board chairman and a contractor with Ronkonkoma-based Barry Goggin Construction, which he founded in 1978. He was president of Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce from 1994 to 1997 and has been a member of the Long Island Builders Institute and Suffolk County Contractors Association, among other groups.
