Beth Meizer of Brightwaters has received the 2012 Visionary Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners' Long Island Chapter for creating Moxxie Network, a women's business community that mentors young women. Meixer is also the president of Moxxie, which she started in 2008, and before that was director of sales/marketing for Target Group Media in Centerport. She is a board member with Girl Scouts of Nassau County and is a volunteer with American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and Middle Country Public Library.
