Betty Ann Pristupa of Williston Park has been named Nassau County Senior Woman of the Year by the Education and Assistance Corp. in Hempstead for her "outstanding volunteer work," the organization said. Pristupa has spent the past seven years filling in for EAC's family caregivers as a volunteer through the EAC Network Senior Respite Program. She also has worked as a licensed practical nurse at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola for 31 years, volunteers at Winthrop's emergency room, and is a member of the Williston Park Auxiliary Police.
