C. Vincent Pane of Massapequa will be inducted later this month into the Long Island Mathematics Educators Hall of Fame in recognition of his dedication and service to the field. Pane is a professor at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, where he is credited with introducing individualized instruction and cooperative learning techniques and has written guidelines and curricula for undergraduate and graduate mathematics, education and pedagogy courses. He is also active in the Nassau County Mathematics Teachers Association, Nassau County Association of Mathematics Supervisors, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
