Caitlin Cole of Mineola has been named Medicaid Service Coordinator of the Year by Life's WORC, a Garden City-based nonprofit that provides comprehensive support for individuals with disabilities. Cole, who was recognized for her advocacy in the field and "excellence in handling sensitive situations," has served at Life's WORC since 2008 and is responsible for coordinating services and benefits for non-ambulatory, developmentally delayed and mentally ill adults and children. She is also a member of the Nassau Counselor's Association and Chi Sigma Iota's Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International.
