Charles A. Gargano of Bridgehampton will receive the 2011 Distinguished Leadership Award on June 25 at the American Heart Association's 15th annual Heart of the Hamptons Ball based on his career achievements and dedication to the local community. Gargano is former chairman and chief executive of the Empire State Development Corp. and vice chairman of the Port Authority. He has also served as deputy administrator of the Urban Mass Transportation Administration and vice president of J.D. Posillico Engineering and Construction in Farmingdale.
